Offense is one of the enemy’s traps, so that people don’t release forgiveness and become imprisoned, not living GOD’s best for their lives.
Many don’t release forgiveness, because they don’t know that they have already been forgiven of an offense or unpayable debt! We had inherited a debt from the first created man, Adam, who sinned before GOD.
Since then, there have appeared: spiritual death (disconnected from GOD), diseases, strife, violence, greediness, misery, all kinds of evils and physical death. All of Adam’s descendants began to suffer. Death has become a reality for all humanity.
The Heavenly Father, Himself, promoted our Salvation, sending His Son JESUS ​​CHRIST, to pay our debt with His shed Blood.
“For God so loved the world that He gave His only begotten Son, that whoever believes in Him should not perish but have everlasting life.” (John 3:16 NKJV).
Whoever believes in this Good News (Gospel), and receives this forgiveness through the finished work of CHRIST, recognizing Him as his LORD and personal Savior, will have his name written in the Book of Life, will live for eternity with the Heavenly Father in unimaginable greatness, receives the right to divine healing, provision, protection, freedom from addictions and all sorts of blessings by faith.
All this because our sins have already been forgiven in CHRIST!! We were acquitted!! No more condemnation upon us!! CHRIST suffered all the punishment for our sins, for our sakes!!
“Therefore, if anyone is in Christ, he is a new creation; old things have passed away; behold, all things have become new.” (2 Corinthians 5:17 NKJV). HALLELUJAH!!
As Heavenly Father has forgiven our sins through CHRIST, so must we forgive:
“bearing with one another, and forgiving one another, if anyone has a complaint against another; even as Christ forgave you, so you also must do.” (Colossians 3:13 NKJV)
“And be kind to one another, tenderhearted, forgiving one another, even as God in Christ forgave you.” (Ephesians 4:32 NKJV)
The Word says that in order not to be overcome by the evil one, we need to forgive (2 Cor 2:10). Not releasing forgiveness is like taking a poison and expecting the other to suffer!
Unforgiveness imprisons both the unforgiving person and the offender. That is why it is written: “loose and they will release you” (Luke 6:37). That is, when you forgive, a release occurs. Doors are open. Your paths are now free to live the full potential that GOD has prepared for your life!
